This is the first message in a 2 part series on marriage and relationships.  This weekend we addressed the common incorrect assumption that our spouses/marriage is supposed to make us happy.  This assumption is easy for us to cultivate in our minds when modern day music, tv and movies constantly tell us that if we are truly in love we will live “happily ever after.”  However, when you read the Bible and the way it talks about love you will see that very little of it deals with your personal happiness.
